Pod hviezdami Bratislavy

Je letný večer v Bratislave. Mesto je pekné a teplé. Na oblohe svieti mesiac. Volám sa Lena. Som umelkyňa. Ráda kreslím mesto a rieku Dunaj. Dnes sedím pri rieke a kreslím most.

A ty?"

"Bolo to pekné."

"Môžeme sa stretnúť aj zajtra," navrhujem. "Môžem kresliť a ty môžeš hrať." "To je dobrý nápad," povie Marek s úsmevom.

Under the stars of Bratislava

It's a summer evening in Bratislava. The city is beautiful and warm. The moon shines in the sky. My name is Lena. I am an artist. I like to draw the city and the Danube River. Today I am sitting by the river and drawing the bridge.

Suddenly all the lights in the city go out. It's dark. People stop. I hear them saying: "What happened?" I am not afraid. I see stars in the sky. They are beautiful.

"Hello, are you okay?" someone asks me. I turn around. It's a young man with a guitar. "Yes, I'm fine," I say. "I'm Lena. And you?" "I'm Marek," he says. "I play the guitar."

Marek sits down next to me. We look at the darkness in the city. "It's beautiful, isn't it?" I say. "We can see the stars." "Yes, it's like in a fairy tale," says Marek.

Marek starts playing the guitar. He plays a beautiful Slovak song. I know it. It's a song about stars and love. "I like your music," I say. "And I like your picture," says Marek and looks at my drawing.

We talk about Slovakia, about music and about art. Time flies quickly. After two hours, the lights in the city turn on again. People applaud. "What a pity," says Marek. "It was beautiful."

"We can meet tomorrow too," I suggest. "I can draw and you can play." "That's a good idea," says Marek with a smile. We exchange phone numbers. I'm already looking forward to tomorrow.

When I go home, I look at the stars. I think about Marek and our evening under the stars of Bratislava.
